Statement on the Anti Money Laundering, Countering of the Financing of Terrorism, and Countering of the Proliferation Financing of Weapons of Mass Destruction (AML, CFT, and CPF) Program PT Super Bank Indonesia (Superbank)

Superbank is committed to conducting its business activities with integrity and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering (ML), Terrorism Financing (TF), and Proliferation Financing of Weapons of Mass Destruction (PWMD).

Superbank consistently ensures that all banking products, services, and offerings are designed and implemented in accordance with risk-based principles of the AML, CFT, and CPF Program.

If indications are found that the source of funds or transactions of a prospective or existing customer are affiliated with ML, TF, or PFMD activities, Superbank will take the necessary actions, including rejecting account openings, postponed or declining transactions, up to terminating business relationships, and perform the report to PPATK and or the relevant regulators in accordance with applicable regulations.

As a concrete form of implementation, Superbank has adopted the AML, CFT, and CPF Program in accordance with regulatory requirements, with the prior approval and active oversight of the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors. The implementation of this program is carried out through the following five (5) key pillars:

  1. Active Supervision by the Board of Directors and the Board of Commissioners

Reports on the implementation of the AML, CFT, and CPF Program are submitted periodically through meetings of the Board of Directors and or the Board of Commissioners as part of the governance framework for the Program’s implementation.

  2. Policies and Procedures

Superbank develops and updates internal policies, guidelines, and procedures related to the implementation of the AML, CFT, and CPF Program, which must be approved and or acknowledged by the Board of Directors and the Board of Commissioners.

  3. Internal Control

To ensure the effectiveness of internal control and risk management, Superbank implements the concept of three (3) lines of defense, namely:

    • First Line of Defense:

All business units, front-liners, and operational functions act as the first line of defense in applying prudential principles and implementing the AML, CFT, and CPF Program. In addition, the AML Operations Unit under the Director of Operations supports the program’s implementation and monitoring, ensuring that the AML, CFT, and CPF policies and procedures are applied consistently and effectively.

    • Second Line of Defense:

The AML Compliance Unit, as a Special Work Unit (UKK) under the Director of Compliance, acts as the main responsible party for implementing the AML, CFT and CPF program.

    • Third Line of Defense:

The Internal Audit Unit (SKAI) conducts independent supervision to ensure that the AML, CFT and CPF program is implemented in accordance with applicable regulations.

  4. Management Information System

Superbank implements a management information system that supports the effectiveness of the implementation, monitoring, and reporting processes of AML, CFT, and CPF activities.

  5. Human Resources and Training

Superbank applies the Know Your Employee (KYE) principle to both prospective and existing employees. In addition, Superbank consistently conducts ongoing training and awareness programs to enhance employees’ understanding and awareness of the importance of implementing the AML, CFT, and CPF Program in all operational and business activities.

As part of its responsibility, Superbank remains committed to cooperating with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, regulators, relevant authorities, and other financial institutions to prevent, detect, and ensure the optimal implementation of the AML, CFT, and CPF Program in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
